Review of Attack the Block (2011) by Dane P — 04 Jul 2014
The laughs are strong, and so is the claustrophobic tension. There's little to be had in terms of social commentary, so you shouldn't be worried about stereotypes and exploitation- if anything it turns those tabloid archetypes on their heads- and the creature design is simple but very unique.
Very British, very tight and generally just very good.
