Review of Attack the Block (2011) by Josheyre — 28 Jul 2011
"Attack The Block" is a lot of fun. It's not a masterpiece, but it's what a lot of other bone-headed summer movies should be looking to for inspiration. It has a good balance of destruction, humor, and humanity, and that is what's lacking from most action/suspense/horror fare that we get now-a-days.
There's always plenty of destruction, but none of the humanity, or actually funny humor for that matter. Give it a shot. Make the "Attack The Block's" creators' efforts worthwhile. And, maybe we'll get similar quality down the road.
