"Attack the Block" 10 Scale Rating: 7.5 (Really Good) ...
The Good: It is completely different and original. The film blends comedy, horror and sci-fi flawlessly. For a low budget movie, the effects are actually really good. You also don't expect much characterization for a movie like this, but a few of the characters were really well done. Much deeper than this genre of film usually is.
The Bad: Similar to a Guy Ritchie film, at times it is hard to keep up with the fast speech and lingo that the script calls for ... but you get used to it. A few characters got on my nerves ... especially a couple of street smart 10-year olds who seemed out of place and forced.
