Review of Attack the Block (2011) by Jaypee N — 28 Jul 2012
Extra-terrestrial criters, Brit wit, smalltown seclusion and a whole lot of fresh take on the genre takes Attack the Block a stratosphere above other alien/suspense movies.
A wonderful array of characters and unconventional plot keeps the watch very refreshing while it's simplistic take on an alien rampage keeps the film grounded. Despite a dull imagining of the alien, the mere reactions and reflections of the characters is worth the watch.
As a whole, the film is a good time for lovers of smalltown sci-fi and British humor.
8/10.
