Review of Attack on Darfur (2009) by Mikel K — 13 Dec 2010
'That we have not stopped the genocide means we have not learned from history.'.
It never fails to disgust me how human nature can twist religion and ethnicity into such horrific acts. This movie made me feel ill, because it wasn't scared to make you uncomfortable. Uwe Boll did a remarkable job, as this is not entertainment, but education. The situation in Darfur, like Rwanda, is yet another example of the complete pointlessness of the United Nations, and the complete disinterest of the west. We will start a war for oil, but we won't prevent genocide. The wests complete disregard for African countries makes me furious, as it is there that some of the greatest atrocities of our time have been committed. Everyone should watch this film. Enlightening, heartbreaking and infuriating.
