Review of Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1958) by Sean B — 11 Sep 2011
A b-movie with a cast of less than honorable characters. There's the deputy who takes bribes, the unfaithful husband who married for money and drinks too much, and the town floozy who wants a diamond and is willing to kill for it.
It's got all the human indecency you can shake a stick at, and a 50 foot woman, to boot! It's also got an ending that ladies with two-timing husbands might enjoy. LOL This movie made me ask the question: Why the heck is Harry being unfaithful to a wife who loves him and looks more attractive than the floozy?? (before she became 50 feet tall, of course :o) The plot is unique in that the gal who gets turned into a 50 foot giantess, sees a "satellite" instead of a UFO.
A satellite spaceship woefully lacking interior design, and a giant man inside who must be a raging smoker. Reminds me of Mork from Ork, as the white spaceship looked like a giant egg or ping pong ball.
