Review of Atonement (2007) by J.j. W — 20 Aug 2011
If there is such a thing as a perfect love story. Atonement comes very close to it. While the process of the movie seems a little overly dramatic at first, the movie really transforms into something very special towards the later portion of the second act.
The ending to the movie is also one of the most brutal I've ever seen. Keep in mind, no themes that are explored here are original. But it's execution manage to make common themes very moving and that's a fantastic achievement.
