Too long in parts, and tries to hard to be artsie in the same vein at The English Patient. The story was fine, but too slow at first and the war scenes were over long. Then there was all the cutbacks and flashs forward.
You have to stay for the ending, or it makes no sense at all. The acting is well done , it's just too long and strangly edited.
