Review of Atonement (2007) by Nate A — 23 Jun 2012
I really enjoyed the book and the movie is an excellent adaptation. A personal but grandiose story of love, loss, and that ever so perennial favorite topic of British artists everywhere, social class. Top-notch performances from Knightley and McAvoy and a great supporting cast.
The film itself is gorgeous to look at, including an absolutely stunning scene at Dunkirk.
