Review of Atonement (2007) by Antwan J. J — 29 Dec 2010
It's funny how the truth can twisted, changed , or misshapen to mask what's really there but in this case the story turns from good to bad within the course of the film but I loved the love affair between James McAvoy & Keira Kightley's characters and the story itself is quite interesting yet very romantic for the time period but the sad thing about the two lovers is that they never got the chance to live the life they planned due to an unfortunate prevention but when they finally had a small window of opportunity things could never really be set right again but in the end they got a second chance in a book which in certain scenes I felt what the characters felt since two lovers writing each other back and forth in the hopes they will be reunited one day but overall I loved the film, the story ,James and Keira's performances and think the film was very well done plus the director Joe Wright is simply brilliant.
