Review of Atonement (2007) by Michael H — 25 Mar 2011
Joe Wrights previous one, Pride & Prejudice, was awful so I didn't have great expectations for this one though a friend of mine (btw thanks Karkki for borrowing the dvd :D) had been crazy about it.
I thought there was gonna be a happy ending but no, I was wrong. Wright used time well, those jumps between the present and the past were just fine and confused me a little at times which was only a good thing.
And James McAvoy. Oh dear. Karkki had been crazy about him too, not only the film, and now I'm just probably following in her footsteps. :P.
