Review of Atonement (2007) by Andrew D — 28 Apr 2012
Very beautiful, well done love story. The story was a little hard to follow in the beginning and the whole "dead" thing was a real fuck you to the audience, but, it was very well filmed and acting.
I agree with some critics that this film should do for James McAvoy what Titanic did for Leo DiCaprio. The shot of Dunkirk was amazing, the camera had to cover close to a mile there, which is a feat in and of itself but just the scope of it is amazing.
..as much as I admire her, why does Keira Knightley always seem so pissy...not a great date movie, but a very romantic story none the less.
