Review of Atonement (2007) by Raffy John M — 28 Jan 2013
(referring to the book) A brilliant masterpiece., Ian McEwan is such a genius., He captured his readers with riveting plot, each part is well connected with each other.., (to the movie) Although there are some missing or converted part, it was organized well to brought to us, viewers, the story of "how an act would brought crime because you thought you're telling the truth".., It is educational as well, telling as to first, think about an act you are going to make and what the possibility of risks if it went the other way around..,.
The story of Atonement is one of a kind., Briony Tallis didn't understand an adult motive and taking that as a crime... However, the ending was so awful because, the truth was, Robbie Turner died of septicimia before the ship comes and Cecilia Tallis died in an undergroud train., But, the good part was, Briony made them a novel entitled "Atonement", or I suppose in the novel, it was called "Two Figures on the Fountain"., and she made the ending a happy one which shows how sorry she was.,. and atonement for the terrible things she had done..., and I highly recommend for everybody to read the book before watching the film 'coz it will give you the full apprehension about what it is all about.
