Review of Atonement (2007) by Augustine H — 30 Jun 2013
The opening is a little bit sluggish......but it's only a minor flaw. This movie is beautifully shot. The uses of excellent transitions, long takes and wonderful atmosphere makes it very artistic. For the ending, it's unexpected of course.
It tells us that time waits for no one. Even redemption maybe too late. So, one should never betray his own conscience for no matter what reasons. Betrayal may finally lead to a lifelong, irreparable regret.
The price is beyond one can bear.
