Review of Atonement (2007) by Luke M — 11 Jan 2015
Joe Wright's direction is absolutely spectacular in the way he runs his crew to show alternate versions of events in reality and then through a young girl's eyes. The score and cinematography is sublime throughout, and whilst there is a strong tendency towards sappiness in places, Atonement is still an engaging tragedy with a number of fine performances - most recognisably young Saoirse Ronan.
