Review of Atonement (1971) by R W — 28 Dec 2011
Originally, I was not interested in seeing this movie but an inkling to watch movies about unrequited love lead me to borrow Atonement from the library. I was entertained. I thought the performances by the actress who played young Briony and James McAvoy were really strong.
The acting during the war scenes were the strongest. However, I don't understand all the hoopla over the movie. It was just a good solid film not Oscar worthy.
