Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Russell R — 25 Mar 2018
McAvoy and Theron both play really convincing characters. Pretty good. I can't really think of how they could've made it much better, other than not using an English accent on Theron's character.
The story feels like I've heard it before, but somehow seems fresh, and is alright, but not of epic scale. The only thing of epic scale were some of the stunts, and acting by the three main characters (who are some of the best the world currently has, might I add).
The only problem I had was following the story, which was slightly confusing at times (especially if you miss something), but wasn't that bad, so I took away one star, as I feel like film makers need to pay attention to this factor/aspect/detail more.
