Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Omar L — 15 Apr 2018
The backdrop of the fall of the Berlin Wall makes this movie out of its time: it's tough to care about who wins or loses in what is ostensibly supposed to be a spy thriller, but there's something to be said about "the game" of espionage.
Theron is capable in her movements as an action star, but there's no spark, no charm, no personality in any of her performance, which makes her an unworthy foil to James McAvoy's frenetic presence.
