Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Giorgos K — 26 Apr 2018
An action flick the way it should be, "Atomic Blonde" may not have the best script but the fight sequences make up for it by being intense & by keeping viewers to the edge of their seat while they are trying to guess what the imminent plot twist is going to be. Finally, when viewers think they finally figured it out, the plot twist turns out to be an even bigger, complex & unexpected one.
A particular mention must be made to Charlize Theron for being a phenomenal & believable badass in this film. Also, a very special mention & kudos to Leitch for that brilliant staircase fight scene. Although it isn't a one 8-minute take, in reality it has 2 cuts in-between, it still remains a meticulously made, beautifully choreographed & perfectly executed 8-minute blend of 3 tracking shots, made to look as one.
