Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Flexedacorn — 01 Aug 2017
Atomic Blonde is an engaging action movie that is serviced well by its script. This is David Leitch’s directorial debut, and though not a perfect film I am hopefully for him helming Deadpool 2. Atomic Blonde was also an interesting film for me as whereas most action films lose steam towards the end, this film seemed to speed up. There is a particular action scene towards the end of the film that will probably go down as one of the best choreographed fight scenes on camera. The sound track is great, Charlize Theron and James McAvoy are enjoyable, and the story solid. The only thing that felt a little off was the pacing, as some scenes seemed a little rushed trying to get to the next arc.
If you are a fan of action films or cold war spy thrillers, I would defiantly keep this film on your radar.
