Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Mariana C — 03 Aug 2017
A throwback action spy flick that's part Bourne and part Bond. Craig and Dalton's Bond to be exact. The performances are charming enough and the action is violently relentless. The plot is a bit convoluted and I hate to admit but I sort of predicted the ending.
Not in total but in general. Story wise it just doesn't set itself apart from anything. All that being said, this movie should be seen if you are fan of badasses and/or Charlize Theron. She is electric.
I wouldn't mind seeing more of this character but I don't think I have to worry. Like Neeson before her, the dramatic performer has proven recently that she can also be a bona fide action star.
