Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Ann C — 27 Jul 2017
Atomic Blonde might not be the most substantial, deep in meaning movie out there...but hold up. This is not the movie's intention on the first place.
It's a well stylized espionage action flick, rather unapologetic that maintains the main character's femininity without losing any of it's badass toughness.
Charlize Theron here is Charlize Theron aka Perfect. She's ideally cast as a sexy attractive, sophisticated, educated (you can add any other adjective you'd wish here) spy who takes shit from no-one and fights her own battles.
It's nevertheless a summer movie with enough entertaining elements and attractiveness to keep you on your sit. If on the other hand your looking for damsels in distress or deep philosophical inquiries about life, universe and everything in between ...well then Atomic Blonde is not for you!
