Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Rio L — 17 Aug 2017
I've been so excited to see this movie that I've had the release date marked on my calendar for months. The good news is that it was a visual FEAST and the action scenes were spectacular. The colors, the tone, the music and the costuming were luscious.
The not-as-good news is that I got kind of bored. I had almost no emotional investment in Charlize's character or the story. But despite that, I'd say this movie contained some of the most gritty and enjoyable fight sequences I've ever seen in film.
I could have watched only those for a solid 2 hrs.
