Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Pam O — 28 Jul 2017
Beautiful to look at, we were disappointed in the lack of story-telling. (4 of us saw it. 2 adults, 2 teens) Which is to say this isn't 3 DAYS OF THE CONDOR.
The action scenes were good, but nothing had been done to emotionally invest us in the characters. Theron on her own, is appealing, but good acting can't fill a gap in plot. Even our teen boy said it lacked something. And that lack led us to not care about when characters died-- bad or good.
Four misses for us.
