Review of ATM (2012) by Shawn S — 02 Oct 2013
This movie mainly proves that Josh Peck is a horrible actor, and can't do anything beyond Nickeledon shows. Not like any of the characters in this movie had much depth but at least Alice Eve, and Brian Geraghty attemped to have some sort of emotional attachment to their character.
The premise of this movie isn't actually bad. This could have been a fantastic thriller, but it was so horribly set up that it wasn't believable right from the start. Too many flaws from the start, nobody parks more than 100 feet away from an atm when it is -5 degrees out in the middle of winter, and this movie is set in 2011, everyone has their cellphone in their pockets at all times.. I won't point out any more plot holes as any more will lead to potential spoils but I assure you there are a lot there.
Movie was fast paced enough, and got right to the point. However the predictably of the plot and not giving the viewer any real reason to care about these 3 characters this movie was a stinker. Not bad if it's ever on tv, but I wouldn't tell anyone to run out and buy the dvd right now!
