Review of ATM (2012) by Jack H — 25 May 2012
"Life's about choices, man. One bad one can ruin every good one you have made.".
I don't know why critics bash this movie and gives Liv Tyler's "Strangers" an plaudits where the main motive of the killer on that movie was "They're home." This movie uses the same formula but the motive wass "the killer just wants to kill. compromising way." The movie is entertainingly good. Yes, the character did some dumb decision but what would they do if the killer always outsmart them? The setting is of course, at a irriguous & desensitized ATM Booth on a shunned snowy place, quite far from civilization. An amazing choice. The performances are pretty strong. The three leads did an excellent performance. The direction was pretty smooth. Didn't bore me. I was a little distressed about how the movie ended. Yup, it has a sequel. With this kind of budgeted film, having a sequel is like dodging a bullet. You either get out alive and hurt or dead. I just hope with the right execution, the sequel will be entertainingly good like this one. 4 out of 5 stars! :).
