Review of Atlas Shrugged: Part II (2012) by Shane G — 12 Oct 2012
Dont let the "expert" critics tell you otherwise, this movie was a good adaptation of the book. If you are into Ayn Rand, and enjoyed the first movie, this one is just as good. Yes, there is a new cast, but I felt they played their rolls just as well if not better than the first movie. There were only two things that stood out to me as poor. First would be the animation, but I understand that this movie did not have the budget of most movies, thus cannot be compared to their animation. The second was Hank Reardens' voice, but that is just my opinion.
Also a note to anyone who reads the critics' reviews: The people who are going to see this movie are interested in Ayn's beliefs and philosophies. Just because the critics do not see eye to eye with those beliefs as portrayed in this movie, does not permit them to call this movie poor. Movie critics should analyze the movie based on movie standards, not political views. I do not believe there is something called magic, but that does not mean that Harry Potter is a shitty book/movie series.
