Review of Atlas Shrugged: Part II (2012) by Peter K — 17 Oct 2012
Astounding improvement over Part I, which was itself a very good film. Esai Morales, perfectly cast, was brilliant. Loved Chris Baconâ(TM)s score. Iâ(TM)m absolutely amazed that director John Putch and his special effects team could deliver such a big-budget feel for a mere $10 million or so.
I canâ(TM)t imagine a more superb updating and adaptation of the novel. I was deeply moved by film and the perseverance of the producers in overcoming stupendous obstacles to get it made on a shoe-string budget.
By the closing credits, I had to hold back tears. Easily the best film I've seen all year.
