Review of Atlas Shrugged: Part II (2012) by Matthew J — 26 Oct 2012

It would be nice if every critic who reviews a political movie would state their politics up front. Just sayin'. My politics are libertarian so I really wanted to like this movie (and the first one).

Neither of them were "good" movies. Neither was "the worst movie of the year". Both were made on shoe string budgets. Both had good actors...but those good actors had very little to work with.

The writing and directing were the weak points in both movies. Sets and special effects were adequate. Writing, directing, editing...that is where both movies went wrong. It is a "message movie" and it's always difficult to make "message movies" entertaining.

But I'm glad I saw them.
