Review of Atlas Shrugged: Part II (2012) by Phil O — 31 Oct 2012
I enjoyed it. Of course this is a low budget production; but, like Part I, the producers did a great job of telling the story within their limited means. It's disconcerting to see the cast change each time out; but the basic story still comes through.
I preferred the former cast to this one. The actor playing Hank Rearden seemed to be miscast. The new Dagny was OK; but looked a little old and tired. I look forward to Part III. It will be interesting to see who, if anyone, they get to play John Galt.
Forget about the critics on this one. They not only don't get Ayn Rand. They don't even understand this kind of non-naturalistic, idea based fiction; and they never will. Go see this one...it's worth it.
