Review of Atlas Shrugged: Part II (2012) by Jerold T — 01 Nov 2012
Very good second installment. The action moves along at a fast pace, as in Part One, but again it is still easy enough to follow for those who may be unfamiliar with the novel or who have seen Part One, AS2 paints a view of a society where government cronyism runs wild, and where corrupt ideas are sold its citizens as being "for the good of the people" .
If you don't trust big government, it will resonate with you. If you don't trust big business, it will resonate with you too, providing you're willing to recognize there are both good businessmen and bad.
Most importantly, it will entertain you, and still give you something to think about after coming out of the theater. After the end credits, the audience leaving the showing I saw were enthusiastic and talking about it on the way out.
And if you wait until the very end of the credits, Ayn Rand herself gets the last word.
