Review of Atlas Shrugged: Part I (2011) by Jason 123 D — 27 Sep 2012
You know, it's bad when 25 critics, who are obviously biased against libertarian politics (or conservative anything for that matter) dislike the film when the general audience conception is an astounding 85%.
Either thousands of people who saw the film are wrong, or 25 people bring presupposed bias into a film that they should be judging objectively are wrong. I tend to believe that these washed up critics, who walked into the film with the simple fact on their mind that it is, in fact, an adaptation of Ayn Rand, and that it basically bashes everything that our government is doing right now, and knew that they were going to write an awful review of it, regardless of whether it was of any merit or not.
That's a lot of commas to say -- Did they read the book? Probably not. These critics probably have never read a book more than 400 pages in their life, except the 800-page healthcare bill that they all advocated.
How can we expect critics, who have not read the novel, to enjoy, and understand, the film when it was geared toward Ayn Rand Enthusiasts? It clearly is not their fault -- we should simply ignore their reviews and take it from those who understand because as John Galt himself said: "For those who understand, no explanation is necessary.
For those who don't, none is possible.".
