It would have been impossible to recreate the novel on film, in its entirety. I'm guessing it would take 10 films? As far as the limited budget, given the political leanings of Hollywood money, I'm surprised they were able to raise this much. I have read the book, and was able to fill in the blanks that the movie left out. Good movie, good acting, suspenseful, and left me excited for the next film!
