The terrible reviews are coming from professional critics. The audience loves the message and story. The acting does not have to be Oscar worthy. It was a relatively low budget film! What did you expect?! Loved it in my opinion.
It may not be in the theaters long, but it will be around for years and years to come...and that haunts the liberals.
