Review of Atlas Shrugged: Part I (2011) by Wade D — 27 Apr 2011
Don't pay attention to the critics! Great movie!
As soon as one of the characters said "individual achievement", the critics all get sensitive since all they do is critique others achievements.
When there is such a large parallax between critics ratings and viewers as there is for this film; it reveals the ideological and non-objective opinions of the majority of critics.
Ayn Rand had always drawn the progressives nuts with logic, reason and historical truths.
It's okay when movies portray a corrupt government killing their own soldiers or CIA agents ( which we know are evil puppet masters that rule the universe), but if a film depicts the government with malicious intent to drive out capitalistic progress and oppress innovation, then it is booed by critics in unison; Oddly enough never point for point or subject matter, it's always punching at dialogue or the film's budget, etc.
Go see it! It's engaging! That's why the book has been so widely successful.
