Review of Atlas Shrugged: Part I (2011) by Oleg L — 13 Oct 2012

It's not a good movie, but I can't blame the filmmakers for trying to tackle something with a more conservative world view. Sean Hannity can schmooze on and on about how phenomenal this movie is, but in all seriousness this film is a failure.

The acting isn't very good and the cinematography has a made-for-TV look. I understand that this film had trouble getting funding, but unfortunately cinematizing a 1000+ page opus doesn't allow the filmmakers to lag in production.

I actually feel sorry for this movie, because if the only way for you to market your film is by having John Stossel and Sean Hannity effusively promote the source material on their shows, you know you're in trouble.
