I dont know how the novel can be made into a movie but that's for the director to figure out. They have done a bad job and such a great novel deserved a lot better. Its when I watch on screen adaptations like this and the harry potter 4,5,6, 7 part 1 that I thank Peter Jackson over and over again for the wonderful job that he had done with LOTR.
