Review of Atlas Shrugged: Part I (2011) by John J — 24 Apr 2011
I didn't think that "Atlas Shrugged" could be brought to the screen and it is obvious that the material was very difficult in this execution. Overall the effort is faithful to the book and was worth the price of admission.
The actors were working well and I look foreward to the next releases. For example, Taylor Shilling, who is new to me, seemed to start off slow/stiff but she gets rolling in the role and does a good job. The actors I knew turned in solid performances. Those that I did not know interested me enough that I am adding their previous work to my Netflix list.
In any case, I look through the reviews of the "respected critics" and conclude that their political leanings seriously bias their reviews. That saddens me.
