Review of At the Circus (1939) by Bill W — 23 Mar 2010
This is very funny and it has a circus, which makes it even better. There are some continuity flaws and the non Marx Brothers musical numbers in between the action have to be endured. This movie has Eve Arden being very bad and sexy, though, in my opinion, there could have been more of her.
It has the delightful Lydia the Tattooed Lady. It also has a gorilla that steals the movie's ending from everyone else. In addition to all that the Marx Brothers are at the top of their form in this.
I very highly recommend it.
