Review of At First Sight (1999) by Carin H — 15 Feb 2007
Sweet film which shows the hardships that one experiences with a severe difficulty such as being blind. My heart breaks for Val Kilmer's character as he struggles with his newfound site and I hate how NOT understand everyone seems to be (except for Mira Sorvino, of course).
As someone who is hard of hearing, I really sympathize with the character---I don't think people realize just how much they take their senses for granted. Heart-warming film, and very romantic.
