Review of Astro Boy (2009) by Andrew B — 27 May 2011
(spoilers follow).
Had its moments, but for the most part mediocre. It felt really rushed in the middle, and the jokes were hit and miss ("GRACE!" was one of the better gags). There was a hole in logic, too; why is it that the evil president emerges from the peacekeeper alive after being absorbed, yet Toby (the human boy our hero is modeled after) never comes back? Maybe I missed something.
Overall, it was ok. Not sure I'll watch it regularly, though.
3/5 stars.
