Review of Astro Boy (2009) by Jimmy J — 29 Jul 2018
Interesting enough, the first couple times I watched 'Astro Boy' I wasn't particularly impressed. However, now that I've seen the film more than 30 times (yes, I have kids), I have really grown to appreciate this film more than I initially did.
Its not a tightly conceived as a Pixar production, but 'Astro Boy' has a lot of heart and tells a great story. Layer upon layer, I really enjoy the human/robot dynamic within Astro; the people around him and the beliefs between our ever growing progression towards automation.
Give this one a few spins and maybe you'll find the charm in Summits' animation, just like me.
