Not seen the original so can't compare but did enjoy watching this in the whole. Haven't seen Hawke in anything new for years and was quite surprised and how well he held up in this role of washed-up cop.

Fishburne was really good too, but was disappointed that Byrne's character wasn't taken further - seemed a waste of a good actor. I was surprised when certain chracters were killed as there are always some that you expect to make it through to the end.
