Review of Assault on Precinct 13 (2005) by Kyle K — 04 Aug 2008
Once Again Decent Remakes are a rareity with Hollywood and this is one of them, trading in the emotionless hoodlums for highly decorated cops, Sundrenched LA for Snow ridden Detroit.
As always Action Scenes are amped up as well as the dialogue as the original due to it's budget lacked it, a little too predictable in places but has somes shocks and surprises to show that this idea was worth remaking.
Ethan Hawke does not usually get to do roles like this which is a bit of a shame because he does make a good Action Man.
DO watch even if you have not seen the Original !
