Review of Assault on Precinct 13 (2005) by Daniel W — 02 Dec 2008
I had one big issue with this film. Why would anybody carrying out an undercover raid to assassinate somebody, whilst dressed in camouflage gear, carry identification on them which renders their whole operation compromised? Idiots.
Also, the assault begins with them opening a back door, walking up to the guy that they're intent on killing and then running away because they get shot at. This seemed a bit soft for a hit. They also missed what was best about the original - the brooding, thumping score.
Still, it was watchable and relatively inoffensive.
