If you haven't seen the original, and cannot get hold of the original and there is only this on television on every channel then I would advise you to watch it. It's okay. Just okay.
The original was a surprise gem when I saw it. Low budget but well crafted and tense throughout. In this version I found it difficult to care if all of the characters got killed which kind of defeats the object of the whole film. I was disappointed greatly and actually felt actively bored while watching it.
Not a pile of cack, but not too bad.
