Definitely not as bad as the reviewers are saying. Yes the story is, well, lacking, Cotillard is bad, some of her phrasing makes me thing neither she nor the director understands English, and the ending is weak, to say the least.
But the action is really good (especially one chase/fight in the middle), and Fassbender sells it. I enjoyed it.
