Review of Assassin's Creed (2016) by Rosvel S — 18 Jan 2017
Again, a movie hacked and edited to death by studio executives, but none the less bearable (Especially compared to Suicide Squad). I have a strong feeling that Justin Kurzel had a strong vision here, with blood and guts removed to chase the 12A rating from the BBFC.
This movie should have been more violent, longer to add depth to the story/characters, and edited under the supervision of Kurzel himself (As it quite clearly wasn't, unless he just did what the studio wanted him to do).
Overall, much more bearable than the abortion that was Suicide Squad, however I'm just hoping for a more cohesive and frankly respectable directors cut that honours the source material.
