Review of Assassin's Creed (2016) by Tab 0 — 28 Jul 2017
It is arguably one of the better made video game adaptations and there are things in the film that are quite intriguing. Justin Kurzel has a great eye for stylish visuals and one of the things he does so well in "Assassin's Creed" is the way he creates this world and immerses you in it; he takes what appears to be a very complicated premise and presents it in ways that are interesting and thought-provoking with a lot of exciting action sequences inbetween.
It's a shame that everything falls apart in the third act, but at least he tried his best. The action is a lot of fun and Michael Fassbender gives his best, but I was enormously let down by its poor execution and incoherent story.
It's not terrible, but not as good as it could've been.
