Review of Assassin's Creed (2016) by Craftyminotour — 06 Jan 2017
This is a movie with a good cast, a good director, no story, empty characters, no coherence and ultimate corruption of the games lore. Game movies are known to be less that good , but still there usually "ok" at least and if their not they usually make those that have played the games in question feel a bit nostalgic, or those that haven't feel sort of interested by the story that was already covered in game, but this , this is just bad.
personally I think that the animus in the movie is, ridiculous, annoying and just takes away from the feeling of watching the game of assassins creed and I know there has been controversy over the chair , people say that they changed it to come across better in a movie were it has to have more of an impact but , the matrix interface was just that , a grey , steel chair and I think that we can all agree that the matrix was received.
.. well, to say the least. the fun in the games was in the animus and the story in it. the fact this the movie concentrated on the real life abstergent just wasted the good and interesting lore of the games.
conclusion: this is a bad movie that ruins the games lore, waists good assets(actors , directors, ect), hollows out characters ( main and side) and focuses on the wrong plots in the story.
